Parents of teenagers generally trust their children, but everyone knows teenagers can be influenced and swayed by others. When teenagers get behind the wheel of a car for the first time can be a very worrying for parents especially if they are carrying others who may encourage them to drive stupidly. Thanks to a new GPS tracking device made by LandAirSea, parents can now monitor their driving behaviour. For the first time, parents can watch where and how safely their youngsters are travelling without seeming intrusive.
The concept of GPS tracking devices is really very simple. Utilising the signal sent by a few Global positioning System Satellites, the device can pinpoint its precise location to within 2.5 metres and uses this information to trace out the route taken by the vehicle. LandAirSea have taken this technology one stage further; their Tracking Key device measures speed, travel direction, the number and duration of stops, enabling parents to find a missing vehicle instantly or to know when their young driver is misbehaving. Parents no longer have to rely on a handful of vague details to be able find their errant children, all from a device powered by just 2 AA batteries. These will power the device for about a week, based on usage of 4 hours a day; it is water resistant and easily mounted via a powerful magnet on the back of the device.
